Boreasteel’s history is backed by decades of experience and expertise in the steel industry, which dates back to Bora Gümüşdal’s father, İsmet Gümüşdal, who got graduated from İstanbul Technical University in 1964 with a Masters Degree in Metallurgical and Materials Science Engineering.

During his 50 years of work experience in the sector at big corporations such as Ruhrstahl Germany, Ipsan Lab Canada, Ereğli Iron&Steel Türkiye and his own company, he passed down his knowledge to his two sons who both took on different product areas in steel industry.

​

His younger son Bora Gümüşdal, who is also a Metallurgical and Materials Science Engineer, has been involved in steel foreign trade since 2003 and is the director of Boreasteel companies and continues to build on the legacy of his family.
